Boksburg

Boksburg first cell

6040 cell with dust booth and hold-down map for a two-person shop.

The workshop

A two-person sign and display shop in a small Boksburg unit, moving off a hobby machine.

The brief

They were losing about a third of acrylic jobs to lifted sheets and had dust drifting into the neighbouring unit.

What we did

  • Set up a 6040 cell against the back wall with the loading side facing the roller door
  • Fitted a Dust Booth S with short clipped hose runs
  • Drew a hold-down map for their three most common sheet sizes
  • Ran a half-day of hold-down and zeroing practice on their own offcuts

How it turned out

Lifted-sheet rejects dropped to almost nothing within a month, and the neighbour stopped complaining about dust on their stock.
