Who it is for

Single-router cells in shared units, shops next to offices or homes, and anyone who has had a neighbour complain about MDF dust on their car.

What it does on the floor

Dust Booth S is a compact extraction setup for one router: fan unit, filter cartridge, hose runs with proper clips, and a hood or cuff to suit the spindle. It keeps fine MDF dust out of the air and off the rails.

It also quietens things down. With the fan in a lined box and the hose runs short, a single-router shop can run into the evening without upsetting the units next door. Fine MDF dust is a health issue, so treat extraction as part of the machine.

Mistakes we see in the first month

  • Using long runs of flexible hose with sharp bends, then wondering why suction is weak.
  • Never changing the filter, because nobody wrote down when it was last changed.
  • Venting outside straight into the neighbour's yard.

South African conditions

Highveld winters are dry and dusty, which loads filters faster from June to August. Coastal shops fight humidity instead, which can make dust cake inside hoses. Both need a filter card with dates, not a guess.

Space and power at a glance

About 800 x 600 mm floor space for the fan unit, plus hose routing. Fan on its own circuit if possible, so a trip does not stop the router mid-job.

Care at a glance

  • Empty the collection bag or bin before it is two thirds full
  • Check hose clips and joins for leaks
  • Wipe the hood bristles clean

Spares worth keeping close: one spare filter cartridge, hose clips, a metre of spare hose.
