What the numbers mean on the floor
Space. About 2000 x 1800 mm with the stand, plus room to slide a full sheet on from the front.
Power. Dedicated circuit, and on bigger spindles often three phase. Ask the electrician to confirm the supply before delivery day, not on it.
Air and extraction. Optional for a vacuum table or air-blow, required for some tool-change setups. A 50 L compressor is the usual starting point.
Questions to ask before you buy
- Ask what the vacuum zones are and whether you can blank off unused zones.
- Check the gantry is steel or properly braced aluminium.
- Find out who services it locally and how long a spindle bearing swap takes.
