Training days that stick
Jet Park agendas that survive the next Monday.
Training fades fast
A good training day can be forgotten in two weeks if nothing changes on the floor afterwards. The skills that stick are the ones repeated in the first few days back at work.
Plan the week after
Before the training day, decide what each person will do daily the following week: close the cell, do a runout check, fill in the handoff note. Put it on a printed card by the machine. Training gives the how; the card makes it routine.
Use your own work
Bring your shop's own files and offcuts to the day. Practising on familiar work makes the transfer to Monday much easier than generic test pieces.
The slip we see most
Training on the trainer's favourite material instead of the shop's real work.
How you know it is working
A month later, everyone closes the cell the same way and the owner no longer checks every evening.
