What the numbers mean on the floor
Space. About 1800 x 1500 mm for a compact table, plus room for the power source and a sheet trolley.
Power. Dedicated circuit sized for the power source, often three phase for thicker plate.
Air and extraction. Clean, dry compressed air at the pressure the torch asks for. Fit a water separator and filter at the table, not only at the compressor.
Questions to ask before you buy
- Ask for the cut chart for your thickest common plate.
- Confirm torch height control is included.
- Check that consumables are stocked locally and what a set costs.
