What the numbers mean on the floor
Space. A drawer or wall-mounted case beside the machine. Nothing on the bed.
Power. Nothing to plug in.
Air and extraction. A short blast of dry air helps clean the taper, but a brush is safer for the spindle bearings.
Questions to ask before you buy
- Match collet type to your spindle before ordering.
- Get a proper collet wrench pair, not adjustable spanners.
- Ask for a test pin of known size for runout checks.
